Our Becoming Oxfordian Video Competition continues, and we’re delighted to share our latest contribution.
We’re inviting subscribers to tell their story:
• How did you first encounter the Shakespeare Authorship Question?
• What sparked your journey to becoming an Oxfordian?
Your video doesn’t need to be professionally produced—a short 3–4 minute recording on your phone is absolutely perfect. What matters most is your perspective. What first sparked your curiosity? What convinced you? And why does the authorship question matter to you?
We’ve been thrilled by the response so far and, as more videos continue to come in, we’re pleased to extend the competition deadline by one month to allow even more voices to be heard.
Please send your entries to substack@deveresociety.co.uk by 31 May.
The winning entry will receive a limited edition Great Oxford box set.
We look forward to hearing your story.
Our latest contribution comes from Shirin Crew, we hope you enjoy her story.
My fascination with the Shakespeare authorship question began in my teens, sparkling a lifelong curiosity that eventually lead to the De Vere Society.
I hold a BA (Hons) in English and American Literature with Creative Writing. In my spare time I can be found wandering through old bookshops in search of hidden gems, exploring castles with beautiful gardens, or visiting art galleries ... (that, or baking sourdough bread!)
